A customized guest communication over the phone
Thanks to ZenchefOS and the call assist, our phone calls are linked to our reservation software. The principle is that when a new guest calls us, his number appears on our software on our tablet or mobile. Taking their reservation is much easier than noting everything by hand; we save several seconds or even a few minutes for each phone reservation.
Then, if a guest who has already dined with us calls again, all their information, such as their first name, last name, and preferences, will instantly appear on the software. The teams can adapt their responses and provide a better phone welcome. Calling them by their name enhances the guest experience.
A unique dining experience
We have designed a unique dining experience with ZenchefOS. Our “Lake & mountain immersion”, priced at €485 for 2 people, includes a glass of champagne, cheeses from the Alps, a winepairing, mineral water, and a hot drink.
Suggesting this experience during the reservation allows our guests to choose their menu before arriving at the restaurant and knowing the exact price. They just have to come on the scheduled day and enjoy themselves.
For us, this also offers many advantages. Our team can focus on providing a lovely welcome and service. They also save time, as there is no need for order-taking. The kitchen, in turn, prepares and sends out dishes with increased efficiency.
Secured tables and revenue
We didn't necessarily have many no-shows before ZenchefOS, but even just one table not showing up was sufficient for significant financial losses. Requesting a credit card guarantee at the time of reservation proved necessary.
We understand that there may be cancellations if guests notify us even at the last minute, and in such cases, we agree not to charge them for the cost of a menu. However, what is challenging to understand is when guests do not show up without contacting us. It's not just a matter of an unhonored reservation but also a significant financial impact on our establishment, especially when as I said before, they have ordered a dining experience. If a table of 4 ordered two tasting menus, we lose 970 (euro) and have food waste. Since we have held credit card guarantees, we haven’t charged any of our guests, and they all showed up or politely canceled their reservations.
